Artists Biography:
Aldiss Ray is a native of Pittsburgh and presently lives in Uniontown. Starting out as a wedding photographer, she began working with archeologists in Latin America documenting sites of interest. It was the study of the original art of ancient civilizations that led her into the field of abstract photography.
Believing the world is full of great beauty she offers a different view of it by emphasizing, shape, color, form, and line.
Her abstract photography turns conventional photos into images of pure imagination.
Ray’s work has been published nationwide, displayed in the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and catalogued in the Library of Congress.
