This hands-on workshop will guide you through the process of creating Dio de los Muertos style nichos to celebrate and honor the spirits of your ancestors, loved ones, even your pets!
These small, but lovely versions of traditional Mexican nichos use copies of family photos, cardboard, and decorative techniques including collage, painting, tape, and markers.
Suitable for displaying among your cherished mementos, these nicho will become beloved family heirlooms.

What You'll Learn:
- How to gather and prepare materials for your nichos
- Basic cutting and construction techniques
- Various decorative techniques including, collage, painting, tape, and markers
- How finish and prepare your piece for display
- The cost of the workshop includes access to the instructor’s collection of of papers, cardboard, fabric scraps, ribbons, and other embellishments
- A glue stick and tape
- Scissors and/or a craft knife
- Cotton swabs and water
- Staplers, brads, paperclips, and other fasteners
- Pens, pencils, markers, and crayons
